AVIGNON, France - A court on Thursday sentenced a French man to the maximum term of 20 years in jail for committing and orchestrating the mass rapes of his now former wife, Gisele Pelicot, with dozens of strangers he recruited online.

All your rights and liberties are fully intact. Women being cautious, scared and wary of men because they fear for their safety is not bigotry, prejudice, or sexism. It’s a rational and direct response to society’s complete and utter failure to protect them, and even further, society’s active efforts to protect the rapists and punish the victims.
