    It’s about damn time. That EA Widow post came out two decades ago. We’ve heard nothing but repeats of the same insane working conditions across dozens of major studios since then

    Every day, I hear people at work complaining about mistreatment from management. Yet no one brings up unionizing for fear of reprisal. That shouldn’t be the case.

        But that would mean that the slaves workers would have rights, and we can’t have that! Think about the shareholders! Line 👏 must 👏 go 👏 UP!!

    Making a career change from an industry with several active unions (all of which continue to be proven as vital, even after over 100 years), into the tech industry in the mid-2010s, where there was no union and you’d hear horror stories (especially from the video game industry), I can’t help but feel like this was inevitable and I’ve been excited to watch it happen for almost 10 years. I hope it continues.

      Google workers actually launched CODE when they formed a direct-join minority union called Alphabet Workers United.
