Safety adviser currently in airport safety
Some more modern run and guns - Blazing Chrome and Huntdown. Both of those are a good time.
Compliance stands out to me as something I watched and vowed never to watch again.
I struggle with those kind of themes. Anything involving rape or sexual violence.
obviously not a fucked up film, but Priscilla Queen of the Desert has one scene involving gay bashing makes the film too hard to sit through for me.
Stand By Me - The scene with the leaches. As a kid in a small country town with nothing to do on weekends but run around and swim in the local creek, I was so scared to ever do that again.
Killed Facebook because the people who were into it and enjoyed using it… stopped using it 10 years ago. If I were to log into my Facebook account right now, I would see my mum posting Sovereign Citizen stuff. My aunty sharing photo after photo of my nephews and nieces. My other aunty talking about her later life crisis holidays to South Africa. And advertisement after advertisement for random junk.
If I’m lucky, one of my friends will have posted something like “Photo from Butterfly Effect reunion last night. These guys still kick ass”
“Facebook” is alive and well but it’s a different product than we knew and, whether intended or not, target audience is boomers and terminally online jerkoffs.
Multi-tasking should rightly be called “context switching”. Your brain is alternating its focus between two things in extremely quick succession.
I have a HTPC setup for steam gaming using Micro OS. I haven’t touched it in a few months, but for the earlier parts of this year I frequently played Dead Cells, Art of Rally, Bloodstained, Vampire Survivor, Stardew Valley, games like that.
I used a couple of PS4 controllers via Bluetooth, just using the touchpad on the controller for if I needed to use a mouse cursor on the desktop or something.
One gripe was that I couldn’t get MicroOS to auto login, so I had to keep a keyboard next to the tv so I could sign in everything I wanted to play a game.
If you want to know what it linked to, someone posted the link in another community. It seemed to be a Chinese landing site (looks like something along the lines of a “this domain could be yours”), with a bunch of affiliate porn ads (read: 88px X 88px animated gifs) like you might have seen in the mid 2000s.
I couldn’t read any of it because it’s in Chinese, but that’s the gist of it.
I also did this, and as a family we’re much happier, but recent return to office mandates now mean I travel 1.5 hours each way 3 times a week, also at a cost of $80 in petrol.
We’re not willing to give up our life to move back, so I am definitely keeping eyes open for similar paying jobs that have less in-person requirements.
I have no idea what the guy is talking about.
I just thought it was relevant as they put forward a rant about solving “the GNU Linux naming problem” that is one of the more confusing and strange things I have read.
