  • And this will not fit all requirements of all people all the time. Nor does it intend to. But my god, trucks are such a practical platform & they used to be a lot smaller. The Asians do the tiny utility trucks…so well. But noooooo, Americans simply can’t have anything small, or affordable, we won’t allow small trucks to enter market. 🙄

It fits most cases, and a change 60-75% in the right direction is better than a 0% change in the right direction, cranking out oversized & overpriced trucks that don’t fit our lifestyles.

There are lots of men not entering relationships, lots of couples not having children. This is perfect for daily living & daily tasks. Long-distance trips? Fuck no. But how often are you doing that? Price is right, if it’s cheap-running & simple & reliable – what are we waiting for?? Let’s go, the Toyota Stout isn’t coming to save us anytime soon. Let’s go with this tiny truck until then.

  • Oh, not at all. Not at all. Now as a full-fledged TRUCK, and hauling, yeah it’s pretty pathetic. But the truck platform that this uses is clean, simple, and fucking brilliant.

A lot of non-truck city people like to cite some damning statistic, something-something-87% of truck owners haven’t hauled anything significant in the past year. Correct, and I think most people simply don’t have that need. The number of oversized trucks I see, that go from home to cubicle work to WalMart & back home again… 🙄🙄🙄

Full-sized trash cans don’t fit in a car very well. But they fit nicely in a truck. This truck can “haul”…all kinds of bulky, awkward shit that doesn’t weigh much. I’ve got a lot of that in my life.

I could use this as a nice, basic farm shuttle vehicle. Chores. Daily driver to & from work. Camping even, obviously light tent camping. Drive-in movie theaters. Parties. “I don’t have room in my car for [junk] .” Well, throw it in my truck. Problem solved, yay 🥳

It’s electric, so you could even drive it part-time & fully recharge it with the fucking sun.

I adore the standard cab, small, working man’s truck. It is not kind of utterly useless, it just doesn’t allow you to be the manliest man that ever manned, bro. Lift kit & shoxxx for offroading, bro. Best in class for towing, bro. Extended cab, bro. It runs on endangered species of owls, bro. …you can keep all that. I’ll take this. 🤗

  • There’s a lot more to flesh out, but I agree 100% with this basic principle. I’m looking back & idk other than the occasional spanking when I was very little, most physical discipline was administered by my father. Even if I crossed my mother.

It reinforced traditional gender roles, and frankly I think it subconsciously implies…a solidarity & mutual respect between the partners in a marriage. My father stood up for, and backed, my mother. They parented mostly gently, but also firmly, in lockstep. Were they perfect? Of course not. But generally speaking I think it worked pretty well.

I mean you don’t know. While you’re getting all new stuff…try a phone wallet app. I only have 1 physical CC in my wallet plus some cash if needed. The tap to pay uses a dummy CC#, it’s very secure, so even if stores get hacked your info is safe. A lot of people don’t know this…phone wallet app is very very safe.

I have 1 physical CC but have access to all 5 CCs via phone wallet app for tap to pay.

Also recommend a small front pocket wallet. Easier on the back, it’s less prone to slipping out/getting stolen, and if you’re looking for a brand-specific recommendation I like Trayvax with its 65-yr heirloom warranty. It’s a wallet for life. 🙂

Good on you locking the cards via their apps. 👍👍👍

That’s true enough, I guess we were formed & forged out of necessity. If you wanted to surf web well, you had to figure all kinds of shit out. If you wanted to pirate, same deal. Watch porn? Better delete that web history, but also make it look believable.

It was baked into our brains at a young, impressionable age. And we absorbed it all.

Now these kids don’t seem to know how to do shit. Frustrating. They should be tech savvy.

  • There’s a lot or fishy things about that day. SS was…incredibly incompetent…but the photo op thing wasn’t their idea, at least it appeared that Trump was arguing with them to stand up & break free. SS surrounding him didn’t seem to approve of photo op.

Then there’s the shots that rang out, and the casings on the roof. SS cleaned up the shooter’s corpse, the scene very quickly & they would not answer how many casings were found on the roof. There were 8 shots, IIRC? Then in follow-ups, they were pressed “how many casings were found on the roof?” And they never fucking answered. You can watch them continuously deflect. They must know, they have the answer, they don’t want to say. Answer the goddamn fucking question.

    Very. Fishy. Indeed.

  • I’d have to look into it more, but my gut tells me the CHIPS act & ‘Build Back Better’ was filled to the brim with pork & bullshit. You’d have to parse through, line by line, and take out all the shit. And hope all the changes get passed & implemented, and of course you’re still touting the worthless name of a project that your people hate that you didn’t even create. Or just blindly trust your opponent’s judgment calls & let it roll through, based on “just trust me, bro”. Nooooo thank you. Why bother?

With stuff like this, it tends to be easier & more expedient to take it behind the shed & shoot it. Replace it with your distinctly different, branded equivalent.

However. If this is true, it appears that Trump didn’t fully raze the CHIPS act & merely revamped it, is taking credit for it. Like you said. CHIPS must have been pretty true to cause.

  • Probably just lean super heavily on Taiwan, and Taiwan is also pledging to build a chip factory in the US. Georgia area, IIRC.

Batteries fucking suck. Can’t live with 'em, can’t live without 'em…but they’re always saying we’re on the cusp of an exciting new battery technology. Lately, they’re touting the idea of better, more efficient sodium batteries with all organic components.

While obviously it has a ways to go to reach working parity with lithium, there are also some big pros when it comes to safety & the ridiculous availability of sodium. If we can switch to sodium batteries, China takes a fucking massive hit.
