right, i can’t use a word that existed before i did to accurately describe a feeling i have. got it.
I was a kid too. All my friends loved it. They all wanted to watch it over and over. I found nothing good about it. It always just felt cringe to me.
The script was boring, the plot was…boring. It was supposed to be like this fun, edgy thing and it wasn’t. They sold aesthetic, and for a time when that aesthetic was cool, this didn’t even come close to making it feel cool. I was a kid when this came out, and I saw it then and I didn’t enjoy it. I watched about half of it recently and I still found it boring and not entertaining.
It wasn’t good when it came out, why would it be good now? I understand this is an unpopular opinion, but it always wasn’t good.
Fair. I’m a 25yr musician and 20yr audio engineer. I innately understand and agree with all those points.
Oh gimme a break I misread the headline. I’m way to old to be called a child by anyone.
Oh, I understand. I kinda glazed over it saying concert pitch in the headline.
Late stage capitalism happened to us. Big money saw the writing on the wall as we got smarter and more ambitious and progressive as a people and said “not in my backyard”.
I literally just had this argument with a friend. I made the same points as you. It was tongue and cheek. While not an OK think to say, it’s comedians making jokes. Cancelling a tour and deportation seems like a gross overreaction to me.
I see you missed my point.
I can’t believe I’m on the music industry’s side on this. It’s a sad day when I have to root for the team that’s made it hard for me to make a living while they fight against the team that’s trying to make me obsolete.
That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.
This is also how I spell it, but is it the correct spelling?
Edit: I should have just read further.
That 15 yr old cracked CS5 I have on an old hard drive is looking mighty scrumptious right now.
Like others in here, I find myself listening to whole records. Sometimes I’ll listen to a couple by an artist in a row.
I feel like I don’t listen to enough music. I try to sit down and actively listen to things when I can, but mostly I’ll get a record or two in while doing something mindless like dishes or yard work. Nothing gets overplayed this way.
I’ve used vote411.org in the past and it’s done a decent enough job for me to double check local candidates and their policies ideas prior to elections. I’m willing to try others though. Any thoughts on vote411?
Came here to say this. Thank you for beating me to it.
Subbed. I really hope it takes off. The one thing I’m missing since I left Reddit is the good audio communities.
