There are multiple times where just showing someone’s face is a big reveal, but you’re expected to keep track of multiple versions / ages of various people AND their family connection and I just could not keep up with remembering who was who. Everyone looks like the same so that doesn’t help.

What I don’t love about this narrative is that it kinda implies that all Democrats are the same and in on this shit.

There definitely are a lot of corpo Dems that are willing to bend the knee when called upon, but pretending literally all politicians are in on this level of conspiracy is basically giving up. Figure out which Dems reliably fuck up votes and focus some fucking energy on them.

And then also focus on implementing something like Ranked Choice or Approval voting locally.

Absolutely. It’s incredibly easy to get on an actual direct phone call with a state rep. You can get the cell phone numbers of mayors, sheriffs, or pretty much any public official with a bit of digging and willingness to speak to their assistants a bit.

I played Red Room a decent amount when it first came out and hadn’t been completely taken over by children, and it was a great time! Apparently I had earned some fancy items, and over the last 8 years I’ve had like 20 people cold-messaging me on various platforms because I used the same username on Rec Room and they wanted the items.

While I think these types of events do show how news media covers individual violence differently, I find it kinda annoying to have any reports on individual acts of violence on a “world news” community unless those individual actions have larger effects. Reporting individual acts of violence from any “other” side gives people an unhealthy justice boner.

You sound like a great parent, and this should ideally be how every parent teaches their kids. Trust, open discussion, and a welcoming environment for questions.

Absolutely agree. When I got out of college, I was like “I have some money finally, I’ll support the shows and movies I want to watch by actually buying them online outright and streaming everything else legally!”

And then several of the things I “bought” got removed from my library several years later.

Then instead of 2 or 3 streaming platforms, there were suddenly 6.

Then every streaming service kept shuffling around my favorite shows.

And suddenly, the experience of paying for the content I wanted to watch became way too cumbersome.

Also I think they literally tell you (just not in English) why they’re shooting at it at the beginning of the movie.

As a game dev myself, I’ve had to learn to just quietly accept repeat feedback. I’m often already aware of most problems and bugs during some playtests, and I used to say “I know I gotta fix that” to some lower priority bugs, but it’s better to encourage any and all feedback for sure.

It really doesn’t make any claims that you need money to do this. You could do this with a local park or hike.

Money helps broaden your options but isn’t required to chat with people.

I mean, it’s EA. They’ve been in full on corporate profit mode forever, and any good games that they’ve put out are in spite of that. I doubt that there are a ton of “artists trying to make art” left at the decision making level of EA.

The story gets better, but it’s paced really weirdly and has some major issues. There’s a lot that’s not explained and the characters often just don’t react to what’s happening. The visuals and music are GORGEOUS though.
