        It’s tricky because it could be both things. Russia excels at subverting well-intentioned rules.

        Worth noting that he also signed into law the earlier revocation of the independence of those anti-corruption watch dogs.

        It’s good that he’s reversed course on this. But concerning that he was willing to sign the first bill. Perhaps it’s just a sign of the strain he’s under, I don’t know.

          well they had a spy in there. he may have overreacted, but spies are troublesome in that part of government. it’s probably not the last we heard about it.
