I’m barely holding on wtf are you on about?

You might be well off enough that it isn’t true for you.

How does this comment make sense in response to what they’re saying? If you live in the US, minimum wage, if it was linked to productivity, should be $25.52 in 2023

Since that isn’t the case, why would you be able to say that the person you’re replying to stating that increasing the minimum wage would change something (instead of needing to change everything first, like you’re advocating) have any bearing on our current reality? Your current living conditions is not an argument for changing the minimum wage having no impact on people’s lives.

What I’m implying is that any small figure would not be enough, I’m an Australian and not that far from minimum wage.

I’ve seen it in my unfortunately reality, more money just means more money for those owning us.

If minimum wage went up and your pay didn’t move at all, then you got shafted. Don’t yell at me because you let your employer devalue your labor.

My point was: whenever we’ve seen areas increase their minimum wages, costs DON’T rise to match that increase. The increase in earnings of the people far outweigh any small increase in prices.

              That is also my point,

Don’t yell at me because you let your employer devalue your labor.

But really your point is ‘I got mine’

Not for those that can read.

I argued for raising the minimum wage. You argued that it wouldn’t even matter. You’re the one shooting yourself in the foot here… And mad at me for having the AUDACITY to argue in your favor.

You need to get out of your own way and maybe stop attacking allies over imagined slights.
