As evidenced by the dozens of times Trump’s star was vandalized, no matter how you deface or destroy it, they’ll just replace it with a new one.

I don’t think there’s any way to get it removed officially other than petitioning the people who manage the walk of fame, and they are all in the same club that the folks who have stars on the sidewalk are in.

There is a committee which reviews applications and approves nominees. There are also rules on who can get a star.

It is an industry award that has a cost attached both in applying and actually winning it. This is pretty common for awards in various industries.

Harbor freight sells battery powered hammer drills and masonry bits that are cheap and powerful enough to drill a few inches into concrete in under a minute.

They also had saws and saw blades used for cutting up masonry.

Removing or vandalizing a Hollywood star won’t accomplish much, and the star that you’re probably thinking of was already damaged daily back in 2016.

Asking this question on lemmy without a darknet is also a stupid easy way to get caught if they feel like investigating you lol/

The official position of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is that, since the walk of fame is a national landmark, all stars are historic and shouldn’t be removed. Also, they only have the authority to create stars and not remove them.

If a star were to be removed, it would need to be destroyed as an act of vandalism and the Chamber of Commerce would need to choose to not rebuild that damaged star. Even then, current policy is to rebuild all damaged stars.

Any actual answers? This whole thread embodies one of the main things I hate about reddit. Everyone thinks they’re a comedian when none of the “jokes” are even remotely funny.

Answer the god damn question and quit trying to farm upvotes by making shitty “jokes” ffs.

I’m a huge space nerd and I straight up avoid comments on any article about Uranus because the comments are all from idiots that think they’re funny recycling the same old trash that’s been around for decades at this point.

Stop trying to be funny for internet clout and answer the fucking question, it’s not that hard.

I knew a comment like this was coming. It’s a fair point tbh and I agree with it.

That being said, this is a comm for people to ask legit questions and there are better places if you want to meme. Keep it to the proper comms instead of spreading more cancerous murican politics as far and wide as possible. This would be better off in one of the many shitposting or meme comms rather than a comm dedicated to people looking for real answers.

Yes I don’t have an answer either, but that doesn’t change the fact that this entire thread is comprised of unfunny people making obvious and unfunny jokes.

real answer: they are maintained by an agency that replaces damaged ones. although people have refused stars no one has had one removed.
