We hear a lot about which destinations are overrated, too crowded, expensive, full of scams, suffering from overtourism, etc.

But which ones do you think are deservedly popular? Which ones justify the hype?

The reason any tourist destination is overcrowded or expensive is because it is awesome.

    Tourist Destinations that are awesome:

    • Many sites in NYC: Times Square, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Met, Central Park etc.
    • Disneyland is awesome. One of the most fun I ever had on a bar crawl was Epcott.
    • Warner Brothers Studio
    • So many places in Paris, shout out to the Louvre and shout out to Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, be prepared to wait in line and no need to read the menu as there are only three options.
    • So many places in London, shout out to The Tower of London
    • So many places in Washington DC, Shout out to The Smithsonian Museums

I remember telling someone my sister and I were going to the Dordogne in France. He said, “Oh but it’s so touristy.”

We went anyway, and it was awesome! The cave paintings alone made it worthwhile, but there was also beautiful scenery, great food, interesting towns. Highly recommend.

Bonaire. Small island off the coast of Venezuela.

Basically, the only industry is tourism/scuba diving. Been three times and I’d go again tomorrow.
