    My wife’s stepdad was born in Germany. His parents immigrated to the states when he was a baby (illegally). He’s had to work cash under the table practically his whole life. Under Biden he managed to obtain citizenship through a dreamer program. In his first presidential election that he could vote in, he went out and voted for Trump. One reason being there’s too many immigrants taking all the jobs. I don’t want to wish ill will on him, but were he to get caught up in this, I wouldn’t feel too bad for him.

      He’s likely white, so he wouldn’t be implicated at least at first.

      But yes that kind of thinking is something I share as well. In Germany we have a gay man as leader of the current right government party. He’s constantly blurring the red line towards the far-right and I for one will care for everyone else but him when the far-right govern and start messing with queer people.

      But remember, ther were patriotic jews that voted for the NSDAP believing they would be excempt - they weren’t.

      This is how the Holocaust started. The promise to deport which, when that became impractical for reasons the fascists caused themselves, moved onto genocide.

          Edit: I should note exceptionally few looted items will make there way to anyone who isn’t in the top 1%.

          Even then, they’ll only take what’s valuable to them, then send the rest either to waste dumps, or to their dipshit working class supporters as bread crumbs.

          We have that latter already happening today in the form of police auctions
