Yeah but that’s why you get a partner who is good at dishes and doesn’t mind doing them if you vacuum. You just happen to be better a vacuuming. It’s the same idea that makes trading with other countries better than doing everything local.
polygamy can be any gender, but if I were to guess, polygamy is one-to-many relationship (man with multiple wives, woman with multiple husbands), while polyamory is just a group of people all in a group relationship
IME, a significant amount of people are not cut out to be roommates, either. Including me, I’ve been a shitty roommate (I can’t bring myself to clean regularly and I have severe insomnia) and the only thing that changed is that I live by myself now.
This is why polyamory took off
I honestly see the appeal of it
Doesn’t the amount of dishes just skyrocket tho

The difference? I personally haven’t had any good experiences with any of these words
Polygamy = man has many wives
Polyamory = person has many partners
As i understand it, it’s all about how much misogyny is at play
a man with multiple wives is polygyny or a harem.

I know it’s a joke, but please hear me out… Just get roommates to share chores with.
The majority of people out there are not cut out to be poly.
The majority of people I have known in poly relationships are not cut out to be poly.
You don’t need to fuck the other people to split costs and chores.
