    Yeah, but only a couple cars can have orders placed at most, so your wait time is the sum of all cars in front of you.

    That’s changed now a bit, there are multi lines and they ask you to pull over and wait. But still.

      It varies by restaurant, but I’ve had my family waiting in fast food restaurants, order already placed, for 15-20 minutes while I’m seeing cars entering the parking lot and leaving within four minutes or so. And it’s not like they forgot us (had that too), usually others were already there and also had to wait a while.

      It’s not everywhere, but Ive seen it multiple times with multiple chains. Online pickups don’t seem to have it as bad, but drive times are absolutely prioritized over indoor wait times
