Mine is “I have donkeybrains”. Not many people challenge this assertion.

Unchecked corruption and endless media propaganda leading to runaway regulatory capture resulting in an untenable concentration of wealth and power into far too few individuals and organizations.

Edit: also, donkey brains 🫏 🧠

I’m sorry we share this terrible affliction. That being said, your comment reads more of a blaming thing and I’m looking for excuses. Do you have any excuses?

It was an issue with older ballot styles. In Florida, during the 2000 election, they were using ballots where you would use a hole punch to choose who you voted for. Sometimes, the hole punch did not fully cut the paper and the little bit (the chad) would still be attached. It could then cover up the hole, or cover a different one, so when the machine would read it, it could register as a different vote.

It was how Bush stole the 2000 elections from Al Gore and set the stage for the fascist takeover of the US, backed by the Supreme Court.

It’s been series of cascading failures since then. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_v._Gore

Our society and the environment have been held hostage ever since.

Why would I need excuses? I’ve been trying to stop this for 20 years. Political movements, organizing, writing and sharing useful information. I don’t need excuses. If you want an explanation, I can give you my perspective, but I don’t regret not doing more. I did as much as I could and paid dearly for it.

I’m preoccupied with my health and I don’t feel like I have a lot of agency to accomplish much. That’s slowly changing, maybe.

    my life is great.

not responsible for anyone else’s choices. and sick of weirdos who try to tell me i am, i notice such folks tend to be very unhappy with their own life choices and tend to blame other folks for them rather than take make better choices for themselves.

Every time someone catches covid they lose 1 IQ point on average. Since (unless you’re vaccinated) you don’t really become immune anymore, you’re likely to lose several IQ points a year. QED.

(That said, things were already going downhill before The Great Lurgy).
