The flaw inherent to axioms of any kind, I guess.

I see reason as only being possible if you take certain things as being inherently true, in other words if you treat certain statements as axiomatic truth.

My reason to exist is that existence, feeling, is valuable in of itself, and I know I exist because I can think of my own existence. This is not a position I reasoned myself into, but I don’t think that fact forfeits my rationality.

If I am understanding your meaning you recognize the inherent flaw is that you believe in inherent truth? Or that your rationalization for being is inherently true if it werent you wouldnt be?

The question is of my reason for being, which is based on the flaw of belief in an inherent truth other than the fact that I exist is inarguable, since my ability to doubt of my own perspective proves I can think, and thus that I exist.

In other words, I believe certain base assumptions are needed for reason, whether you acknowledge them or not, and only one, “I exist” can be proven as 100% true through reason.

By reason for being do you mean “what someone tells themselves to justify that they’re still alive?” In which case I agree with diplomjodler that one doesn’t need a reason. But I suppose it would be the assumption that I’m a good person. I’ve been wrestling with that a lot recently.

If you mean the process that lead to me being created, I’d say soapy teddies is the flaw in that.

I dont see an overall “reason for being”, just an un-requested life filled with societally enforced rules and goals mixed in with basic survival. It sucks and it’s fucking beautiful, then it’s over and there was real reason for it but it never mattered anyway (not in a depressed way).

I guess the flaw in that reasoning is that I can never fully enjoy the beautiful moments in life without feeling a small hint of sadness (not in a depressed way, i swear lol)

The question presupposes the thing you ask me to inspect and I reject the premise. There is no reason to any of this. It just is.

What would the fun be if there was a reason for being?

That’s just a job without pay then
