DARPA once built a robot that roams around battlefields and consumes human corpses for energy. They called it EATR.

This sounds far too badass to be real.

It was never literally real. But it was developed as a plausible concept.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energetically_Autonomous_Tactical_Robot

It also wasn’t actually eating corpses. Supposedly.

I remember when that came out. I’m guessing they’re still secretly working on it.

It went rogue and ate all its designers. Currently locked in a vault with the door welded shut at Edwards air force base, it hibernates, waiting patiently for its next meal.

Everyone thought it would be China or Russia doing this first, turns out it’s the west that starts using AI robots for Genocide.

Turkish autonomous killer drones were, I think, used in Lybia recently? Not sure.

Are we talking about big drones like Bayraktars which have an operator or new small scale autonomous ones? I’ve not heard about this story yet

No! Boston dynamics would never make things used to express hatred towards Palestinians? This year? Or Mexicans and Chinese migrants at the border? Next year?

Our robots feel no hatred. For an additional $10m per order we’ll include our software that emulates it though.

Hold on, someone’s at the door. It’s a cute dog robot! It wants me to take a little piece of paper…it’s a speeding ticket. Oh thank you officer! Oh I have to pay now or you will open fire as it customary for all police activities? I understand. The state of Washington allows you to chase me now if I don’t? I understand.
