    ‘standard sentencing guidelines’ likely don’t include things like ‘the crimes committed helped the defendant to obtain the office of president of the united states, allowing him and his associates to profit to the tune of billions of dollars; harmed millions of individuals and the environment; and set the nation and world back a decade or more’

    unlawfully interfering with the election helped the convicted to obtain the ultimate result from the commission of that offense: the highest office in the land. the punishment here should reflect that–maximum allowed by law, both in time-to-serve for each count, and the financial penalty.

      I’m fact it does.Falsifying business records isn’t usually a felony. But since it was seemed to be covering up another crime (defrauding the American people) it became a felony.
