On the shoulders of giants, sir

There was a guy named Hero of Alexandria who was alive at the time of Jesus. He was a brilliant inventor, like the DaVinci of his day. He wrote 4 books. The first 3 are about his own inventions and the 4th seems similar but is thought to be a book explaining how other common things worked. In that 4th book he details how a trick “water into wine” jug works.
This is like Jesus trying to prove who he is by doing a card trick. “Look, I know all the other card tricks are just tricks, but THIS ONE is really magic.”

This seems ok as long as you allow people to buy it back for a reasonable price

I’m not a law guy but I seriously doubt there is a military law that says it is illegal to say not to do illegal things

But how do we know Asia’s coastline isn’t more jaggedy?

That was in 2014. They’ve since changed it to Louvre1

I agree in general but I can’t think of anything in the OT that is taken from The Epic of Gilgamesh except the Noah’s Ark story, which is a clear rip-off. And the 5000 years ago is too long, I think the oldest books are from the 8th century BCE.

“I have no special regard for Satan; but I can at least claim that I have no prejudice against him. It may even be that I lean a little his way, on account of his not having a fair show. All religions issue bibles against him, and say the most injurious things about him, but we never hear his side.” - Mark Twain
You don’t have to look at Christians to think God isn’t so good.
In the Bible, Satan kills 10 people, Job’s children, and he did it with God’s blessing while they were having a bet.
God killed entire cities, all the firstborn of a nation even down to the slave’s children, killed everyone on earth except 8 people, killed a guy for picking up sticks, killed a guy for not allowing the ark of the covenant to fall, told the Hebrews to attack nations and kill every man woman and child in the land and was furious when they left a few alive, had a God-off to show he was more powerful and when the other side converted to believe in him he had them killed, killed David’s son and had his 10 wives publicly raped, killed 42 children for making fun of a bald guy… the list goes on, not to mention that God told the Hebrews to have slave’s, women were property and have to be killed if they ruin the one thing they were good for, their virginity.
Christians have weirdest relationship with the Bible. Many don’t really read it. If they did, they’d be Jewish. Jesus said to keep the Jewish laws, but Paul said it’s ok not to. Christians go with Paul instead of Jesus and generally disregard the Old Testament except the parts they think prove Jesus was the Messiah.

I should be more clear. I don’t mean I consume TV like most people but do it through my media server. I meant that I have the media server and if I get the rare feeling that I want to watch TV I will watch some old show I have on there.
I upgraded my system in 2023 and looking at my history since then, it shows me watching a few episodes of Letterkenny after the update. I actually spent several months before that “binging” it. That was an uncharacteristically lot of TV for me and I actually skipped over every scene with only the Skids in it. I couldn’t stand them
After that, I’ve watched 5 episodes of The Super Dave Osborne Show which came out in the 80s, 3 episodes of Kim’s Convenience 5 episodes of Peep Show and 12 episodes of the comedy Children’s Hospital.
Without commercials those are 22 minutes each, except Children’s Hospital which are 11 minutes, or two episodes in 22/30 minutes. So 19x22 minutes= 418, or 7 hours in two years. I average watching 17.5 minutes of old TV shows per month.
I consider that not watching TV. I don’t keep up with new shows. I don’t finish a show and start looking for a new one to watch. But if I got really interested in a new TV show I’d watch the hell out of it then go back to not really watching anything.

I don’t watch TV. I actually can’t. I haven’t had cable or an antenna to receive anything since I bought my house in 2011.
I have a media server with movies and TV shows. If I really want to watch something I’ll watch one of those. I do like movies but only watch them if they interest me and that’s getting a lot rarer these days.
I don’t play video games at all or have any game consoles.

I don’t know if it’s underrated, I don’t actually know anything about Adult Swim, but Childrens Hospital was hilarious

Yeah that’s the guy! I assume she already has, judging by the words that came out of her mouth. No need to check, I trust she made sure that guy faced justice.

Rotate the stock

“There is one tier of justice for all Americans,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement after Bolton was charged. “Anyone who abuses a position of power and jeopardizes our national security will be held accountable. No one is above the law."
I remember a similar case a while back where a guy had boxes and boxes of classified documents in his bathroom. I never heard what happened to him.

You night be thinking of the Streisand effect, which is a little different, but very similar

Like two weeks ago, a leaked report said they were going to blame Tylenol. Guess Tylenol bought him a gold statue or something
There are people who think urine is healthy and, I guess, drink it or something. I used to have a screenshot of a Facebook post where someone asked their fellow urine lovers if they ever put it in a humidifier and there were a lot of replies about how to best do it
