This kinda sounds so stupid I had to fact check it.
- Obviously they are just asking around everywhere if any country has even capacity of surplus eggs. So the department of agriculture send out letters to several countries. Also Sweden and Netherlands seem to be among them. Probably many more.
- Also I asked myself why they would even ask such small countries. Pretty sure that article is wrong about Mowi/Norway, at least in the sense of egg species. Mowi is a farmed fish company and although they likely produce loads of eggs I don’t think salmon roe is what the US needs the most right now
