There is one where a guy riding a horse slides under a truck as if it’s a motorcycle.
Danm it! I wish these played for me, that sounds funny as hell!
It is hilarious! It doesn’t even go feet first, which makes it funnier!
Holy crap, it’s a jerb. I thought the mexicans took all of you twenty years ago.

RRR is the greatest action movie of this generation
RRR was the first Indian movie I watched and I loved it. I watched other Indian movies after that, but they pale in comparison.
Monkey Man, directed by Dev Patel, was solid. More of a John Wick movie than RRR’s Rambo: The Musical. But the acting, the cinematography, and the screenplay were all on par with a top tier American film.
Dev Patel is British
Couldn’t remember why I didn’t watch it, it’s the musical part. Not to big into musicals.
That’s more tongue-in-cheek. They’ve got a scene at a party that involves the protagonists engaging in a dance-off with one of the villains, which is one of the best parts of the movie. But it’s maybe ten minutes in a three hour long epic. Not really a musical anymore than, say, Titanic.
3 Idiots (2009). It’s not an action movie like RRR but I find it just as entertaining.
No kidding! That movie just delivers for 3 hours straight and has one of the best twists I didn’t see coming at all. One of my favorites parts of the massive crowd fight with the cop.
What’s RRR?
Edit: removed an IMDB link
Tell me amazon owns imbd?
For a little while now, yes.
IMDb, historically known as the Internet Movie Database,[2] is an online database of information related to films, … IMDb began as a fan-operated movie database on the Usenet group “rec.arts.movies” in 1990, and moved to the Web in 1993. Since 1998, it has been owned and operated by IMDb.com, Inc., ** a subsidiary of Amazon. **
Sonofabitch, I had no idea. Thanks
Yeah, and this thread made me look up who runs themoviedb.com. It’s the parent company of TiVo so no small business either. But for now, I see it as somewhat less shitty than IMDB still.
Thanks, didn’t know that was Amazon
Please tell me you aren’t Indian.
I’m not, but I’ve got a couple friends who clue me in to the good stuff.
Have they suggested Bahubali?
Damn, it looks familiar. I can’t recall, tbh. But I’ll definitely add it to my queue.
It has the same director as RRR. Between them, Bahubali is my personal favorite

Honestly, to an English speaking North American with typical deficient exposure to the complexities of a lot of other cultures and languages, a lot of the English-language translations for shows and movies from other parts of the world end up coming across that way. Mostly, I just assume it’s something lost in translation and totally not a big deal, of course.
Don’t fuck the fuck. If you fuck the fuck fuck fucks you. I’m not the fuck, I’m the shit!
Fucking awesome!
Yeah, this happens to everyone. Most people would quite literally translate how they would say something in their language to another. But in doing so, they still retain the grammar, character, syntax and words of their mother language to the foreign language they are trying to speak, which messes things up. I can kinda see it on people of foreign backgrounds when they speak English. It is amusing that I have an African colleague who says “I see you” to mean “hi”. In English, saying “I see you” sounds like you are watching and suspicious of someone, but in some parts of Africa, it means you recognise the person as an individual.
In their defense, action movies are all pretty over the top.
Die Hard anyone?
And they don’t get many Oscars either.
Oh simply the committee that nominates movies for Oscar is ass in India(as in corrupt) so you’ll never even hear about good Indian movies through Oscars You should look at tumbbad, jigarthanda double x
Or simply the Oscar is an advertisement company for their friends products, and not some competition.
