The zone is so flooded with all this shit
I’m so sick of every day bringing news that not only are things getting worse, they’re going to keep getting worse, and there’s no end in sight…
But hey, who cares that we’re all killing each other, authoritarianism is on the rise, and we’re all subject to the whims of like 10 ultra wealthy people. At least the billionaires get to be more rich, so that’s nice.
Por Que no los dos
verdad
yeah… very dad
The definition of “reasonable reaction” is broader now than it was at the dawn of the French Revolution.
This is deeply troubling me.

I’m tired, Boss
No it’s that I still have to wake up tomorrow and do the things and then maybe some new things and I have to be there at a time and I have to tell other people about what I have to do at the time and then maybe find time to eat and then sleep again.
And I know it will happen again and again and again and again and again and again and again until I die.
Times and people and things and talking and maybe food if there’s time.
Over and over.
Until I die.
in other words, good times
It’s really a good question.
Most of us have this little rectangle of light wired into our brain via our optic nerves almost Johnny mnemonic datajack style, delivering a steady flow of whatever creates a mix of chemicals in our brain most likely to make us stay jacked-in as long as possible.
We’re at work on our phones, between calls, while shitting, while doing the dishes… in commute, during dinner - even with someone, both on our phones - while we fucking watch tv, in our bed…
Frankly it’s amazing we’re accomplishing anything at all as a society…

To be fair, smartphones weren’t used by the masses (worldwide) until the middle to late 2000s. There has been centuries before the smartphone, PC, TV, and radio.

I do see your point of how it amazes you that we have been able to accomplish anything, worthwhile mind you. But this is part of the point of the post. It’s amazing what we as humans all across the world have been able to achieve. But just like the analogy of using a tool, bad/devastating/misuse can still be experienced in all scales.
Pandora more than Spotify? Must be very outdated…
I think I’m feeling more burned out than anything, I just don’t care to deal with it. The more days I’m spending, just sitting or lounging around doing nothing and not enjoying hobbies as I should. I don’t even need the bad news to help me feel worse off.
Yes
Little column A, little column B
