My cat asked me to stop the thunder last night again, and I felt so guilty I couldn’t do it for her.

She’s not directly “mine” but a cat who loves our porch also gets mad at me when I let it rain outside.

They simultaneously think we’re gods and servants lmao

Hey same! My cat loves going in the backyard, and whenever it storms he stands by the back door and looks at me to make it stop.

I am sorry little one, but I am not Zeus nor the Hyades.

We had a cat who loved when we’d turn the lights on and off before bed, and we think he eventually thought we could control the sun, too, because he’d yell at us when his window spot wasn’t sunny enough for his liking.

My older cat figured out I control the light bulbs lol. He gets real cranky if I turn on my bedroom light when he’s conked out in front of the air conditioner in there.

The rain. My dog will ask to go out, see it’s raining when I open the door and give me this pleading look. He has a raincoat but if it’s raining heavily it’s not really enough.

One of my dogs glares at me every time it rains. I keep telling her I don’t control the weather. At least we don’t get much rain here.

Mine wanted to go out the back door, but it was pouring rain. I opened the door and showed him the rain, and he walked to the front door. So I opened it, and showed him that it was raining out there, too.

He just looked at me with an expression of withering disappointment and disgust.
