I hate to say it, but I’ve given up on search and use the copilot button to find things. It’s completely retarded, but still superior to that awful search bar.

I believe it. I can’t find shit on search engines anymore. For all of the most basic queries, I have to ask an LLM, then yell at it for being wrong until it provides the right answer with a source that did not show up in the search results, no matter how I phrased my query! Before the “AI overview”, you used to be able to just type your question into a search engine and the answer would be in one of the top three results every time. But then search engines realized they can make more money by keeping you on their website.
Maybe but that’s a long game then as it’s sucked forever.

On windows there a program called ‘Everything’ that instantly finds files on your computer. Why windows doesn’t use the same method of searching? Who knows
