How do you eat this fruit called kiwi?
After more than 30 years using a small spoon, I changed. Now I’m eating the whole fruit including the skin.
I realize this may make me sound like a psychopath, but I legitimately do eat my kiwi fruits like this.
I straight up bite into it unpeeled and am not bothered by the inconsequential fuzzy part because it’s immediately immersed in the delicious fruit pulp.
So, like a peach, huh? I’m half tempted to try this now.
I lick mine for several weeks until I get to the centre.
I’m weird. I cut the skin off, eat the flesh, then eat the skin. There’s just a different texture between the two and I like to experience them individually.
I will try this once, just because of this thread.
But until then, I disagree and you’re a monster
I cut them in half and jam them into my mouth and use my teeth to scrape along the inside of the skin.
I do the same with rats
Brush excess fuzz off with my hand, remove the ends and eat with skin on.
Is the skin even edible? I hate peeling that, which is why I use a spoon.
Skin is edible just a little fuzzy
I’ll try eating it with skin next time then, thanks.
You can also rub the hairs off first, on your pants or whatever. The hairs are not terrible, but I’m not a huge fan.

I cut it in half and kind of gnaw the innards out. I don’t eat the skin, too fuzzy. I think some of modern kiwifruit have smoother skins, but I’ve been eating them since they were called Chinese gooseberries and to me they’re forever fuzzy.
Spoon.
Eat the whole thing. The skin is sour but in a good way, and has most of the nutrients.
With my mouth.
People mention eating it whole… I at least shave the hair off it first.
schick? venus?
I usually rinse them. The spines relax enough when wet.
Alternatively there’s the golden kiwis which have skin that remind me of pears, just thicker. They don’t have spines. I’d still to prefer to rinse them, but more because you should rinse fruits and veggies if you’re going to eat the skin.
Yellow ones I eat skin and all.
Green ones get hollowed out with the thinnest teaspoon we have.
I cut both ends and slice it while keeping the skin on.
This, but sometimes I’ll roll a slice out of its skin as I eat it, like pulling the ripcord on a gyroscope. Then I’ll eat the strip of skin on its own. Only a monster licks the cream out of an Oreo and leaves the biscuit behind.
