After the first two bombs dropped, they withdrew to their sub terran bases, making a change of war necessary. The public didn’t know about this, but the change of the nuclear test treaty was a distraction to have a reason to bomb the remains of the imperial army out of their last bases.

An indirect sequel that used the same sets and cast (where it makes sense) dealing with the Demon Core could be interesting - but I don’t know if there would be enough there for a full feature-length film or not.
The demon core was so well covered by existing media, to the point of being a meme, that it was almost refreshing to see Oppenheimer not attempt to cover it

Oppenheimer 2 is about him lamenting that the atmosphere didn’t ignite after all, and spending the rest of his life tryinh desperately to do that.
That would be the Teller biopic.
Did he do anything else movie-worthy in his live? I guess not? Would be quite a pointless sequel.
