At what point does covering up a child sex trafficking conspiracy make you an accomplice in the child sex trafficking conspiracy?

I think Pam is way, way past that.

Every single one of these headlines would be better phrased as, “x does y and yet there will be no consequences and nothing will change”, because that’s the fucking reality.

    Example:

Pam Bondi acts like a petulant toddler in front of Congress and yet there will be no consequences and nothing will change

    Resign?

Pam Bondi needs to be prosecuted and arrested. She’s a complicit of all the MAGA and Trump criminal activities.

    Needs to resign?

Needs to be drawn and quartered, along with every member of this cabinet.

Trump gets buried alive, covered in concrete, and then chisled into an award for himself, that reads SIC SEMPER TYRANIS.

Fuck all of these goddamned traitors.

As much as she infuriates us, it’s still NOTHING compared to the millions of needless deaths that are occurring right now due to our ending programs like USaid.

There are people in developing nations who we could have kept fed for pennies a month, watching their toddlers die of infections and starvation because their regular aid visits were cut off, but it’s okay because they get to turn on their old television and see Pam Bondi screaming about the Dow Jones and Democrats saying we need a “less radical” opposition movement.

We are being pulled in a thousand directions at once so we don’t even notice how bad the situation really is. They just rolled back environmental standards for cars and companies hours ago, and that will accelerate climate changes and cause uncountable deaths in the future.

Jamie Raskin berated Bondi’s earlier Senate performance before the questioning began, saying that she brought… What did he call it? A “burn book” or something?

Basically, instead of preparing for the actual questions she’d be asked, she prepared a book of insults and ad hominem for the people asking the questions.

And I couldn’t help but notice that in her testimony yesterday, every time she flipped through the huge binder next to her, rather than answering the question, she’d just start attacking the person who asked the question.

So, she did the same thing again. A one trick pony who couldn’t imagine that they’d prepare countermeasures for her embarrassing previous performance.

And she was caught lying under oath immediately after she did so.

Only a complete idiot would allow themselves to be put in such a situation.

She should have resigned long ago. She should have done a lot of things, but what can you expect of a complete idiot? If she’s remembered at all in the future, it will be for her unparalleled stupidity.

Not only did she have a stupid “burn book” but she also brought out printed pages showing the search history of Congress members who were allowed to view the secret files, and this was photographed. They monitored, logged, and tagged the searches and documents members of Congress accessed, and she was dumb enough to hold evidence of it in front of press photographers. Now there’s going to be a congressional inquiry into that too.

What good is making her resign going to do? Don’t get me wrong, she should be gone, but Trump put her there and she’s doing what he wants her to do. Forcing Trump to swap one stooge for another doesn’t accomplish anything except resetting the “Trump’s AG did something bad” counter, which might actually be useful to him but doesn’t help us at all. Focus on the guy who put this obviously unqualified person in charge of the DOJ.

I believe there is a limited supply of practicing lawyers who will ruin their own lives and careers to support Trump, a man who will not ever return the favor.

To make a Pam Bondi, you need to find someone who is a completely incompetent moron who can also pass a bar exam.

I think another Bill Barr is more likely. A person who initially thinks it’s a good idea to support Trump, but later defies him.

There is something to be said for the friction in bringing someone new into the role. Nobody is ever as effective in their first few weeks as they are a year into the job.

There’s no way her replacement would be good, but a revolving door makes things more difficult for him.

I suppose that’s true but it does seem like it would be more effective to spend the effort tying her failures directly to Trump rather than letting him offer her up as the sacrificial lamb. People seem to think he’s good at delegation and “business stuff” so hammer him with the mistakes his people make and force voters to remember how highly he once spoke of them.

I’m fully in support of “throw wrenches in their attempts to do things” instead.

She’s probably a big part of the Epstein cover up. She was there in Florida in 2011 as attorney general of the state, after Epstein’s first conviction, and while his activities were still ongoing but did nothing about it.

I watched some of the parts and I thought she did amazingly well, in MAGA terms. There is no way she could do it better with all the facts against her.

She doged questions, she did incoherent rants, interrupted people constantly, attacked the interviewers. It was despicable, everything MAGA like. I don’t see why they aren’t thrilled about her. She was trump on steroids.

I don’t see why they aren’t thrilled about her.

Because Trump sold them the Epsteins files during his campaign. He promised to release the files and the list in full transparency. Most of the MAGA base is now invested in the Epstein files and want to see billionaire pedophiles punished. Pam Bondi acted like MAGA usually wants her to act, except this time she was acting against MAGA. She interrupted and attacked the people who asked the questions MAGA wanted answers for and instead of giving any answers she dodged the questions and wasted time on incoherent rants instead of giving the information MAGA wants. She did everything “right” but she did it against the wrong crowd.

There’s a CNN polling data from the end of last year that shows only 12% of republicans are satisfied with the amount of information released on the Epstein case, 21% are dissatisfied and the majority are don’t care or don’t know. Now those numbers have gone more in the favor of what the administration is doing compared to polling on the same questions 6 months earlier where 4% were satisfied and 40% was dissatisfied. I don’t think I need to find polling data on Trumps popularity, I think it’s pretty obvious that his support among his base is high. So there’s an obvious disconnect between supporting Trump and believing the Epstein files are properly handled.

Overall the sentiment in the republican party is that they’re not satisfied with how much has been released and I think the change in the trend has less to do with MAGA falling in line and more to do with them getting disillusioned by the administration, because what happened between those 6 months was that the first files were released and they were heavily redacted. Of course hardcore MAGA accepted what they saw and were happy to move on but the rest expected to get something and the administration tried to serve them nothing. I feel like that falls perfectly in line with why MAGA turned on Bondi.

EDIT: Forgot to add that this doesn’t mean they’re against Trump, this only means they’re against Bondi. That also explains why your family would still be on the Trump train because in their eyes Trump did nothing wrong.
